Establishing Celebrant Business – Four Accredited units of competency

This short course is suitable for those people establishing a small business who use well developed skills and a broad knowledge base to solve a range of unpredictable problems and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources.
Celebrants are small business owners – classified as ‘sole traders’. In this competitive world, it is advisable for celebrants to learn skills that will assist them in establishing, promoting and running a successful celebrant business. There are four accredited units of competency contained in this course:

  • BSBSMB404 Undertake small business planning
  • BSBSMB405 Monitor and manage small business operations
  • BSBSMB403 Market the small business
  • BSBCMM401 Make a presentation
Delivery of this course

Blended self-paced learning on QualTrain’s e-learning website plus the option of one day in the classroom or with a tutor/assessor. For rural and remote students, we have the complete learning and assessment available online.

What you will learn

This course will help you to develop the following skills and knowledge:

  • skills and knowledge required to research and develop an integrated business plan for achieving business goals and objectives.
  • to implement a business plan and modify operations as required.
  • to develop and implement marketing strategies, and to monitor and improve market performance.
  • to prepare, deliver and review a presentation to a target audience.
Learning Material provided

Following payment of the initial payment (please see below) and enrolment, students are provided with login details to QualTrain’s e-learning website where they may commence study. The e-learning website has many useful resources that students have access to, these may be downloaded and saved for future use. Students are provided with a hard copy Learner Manual – a rich resource.

Learning and Assessment

Study online via QualTrain’s e-learning website: here you will find structured lessons, instructional videos, interesting articles, prompts to develop research skills and valuable resources. Modes of assessment: tasks include knowledge tests, projects, assignments, reporting, performance and practical demonstration.

Tracking Progress

Prior to commencement of the course, an assessment plan is developed for each candidate. One copy of this document is given to the student and one kept by QualTrain administration. The plan is updated regularly to confirm receipt of completed assessment tasks.

Communication

Students maintain regular communication with their peers, trainers and QualTrain administration via a private Facebook page and the student support email and telephone contact.

Refund of OPD Fee

QualTrain Australia Pty Ltd Ongoing Professional Development Refund Policy

Ongoing Professional development (OPD) program fees will be refunded in full providing written advice from the celebrant of cancellation is received by QualTrain Australia’s administration at least ten (10) days before the start date of the program. Email advice will be accepted Where five to nine (5 – 9) days’ written advice of cancellation is received, a 50% refund will apply. Where less than five (5) days’ written advice of cancellation is received, no refund will apply. In the event that QualTrain Australia needs to cancel or postpone a program, we will contact you at least seven (7) working days prior to the planned commencement date.  You will then be offered a place in another scheduled OPD program or offered a full refund. In accordance with the above information, to advise cancellation of your attendance and request a refund please email admin@qualtrain.com.au or post to P O Box 280, Darlington, WA 6070, or call 08 9299 7770 during office hours 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday (WA time). Note: All charges and refunds are made in Australian Dollars (AUD).

What time is the OPD event?

Unless otherwise advised, all our OPD events commence at 9.30am sharp – please arrive at least 15 minutes early to be ready to start on time. The five hours of OPD is interrupted by morning tea and light lunch. We always aim to finish by 3.30pm.

Please note: When studied as part of CHC41015 CIV in Celebrancy, there is no additional cost and no need to enrol below if you have enrolled in CHC41015 CIV in Celebrancy.
